Cameras:
Sony A6000 + 16-50 mm (For beginning photography)
The A6000 is an awesome camera for beginners in photography. It has all the features of a pro camera to learn the basics of aperture, ISO and shutter speed. It is also compact and lightweight so it can be put in any bag for travel. I recommend starting with the 16-50 kit lens and expanding to other lenses in the future.
Sony RX0 (Small waterproof camera)
This is the perfect travel camera to get unique perspectives with. It can take 15.3 MP photos has a 1 inch sensor inside. It also can do burst photo mode and takes much better photos than a smartphone camera.
Sony A7rIV (My primary camera)
My main pro camera. I shoot astrophotography with this and the large sensor makes it a great option for large professional prints.
DJI Mavic Pro (my primary drone)
All of my aerial photos and videos are captured with this. I use this version because I can put the lens in ‘portrait mode’ for vertical photos.
Lenses:
Sony 100-400 mm G Master (Zoom lens)
My main zoom lens for photos that comes with me wherever I go. The lens is sharp from corner to corner and I can count on it to get unique compositions.
Sony 16-35 mm f/2.8 G Master (My primary lens)
This lens is great for both landscapes and astrophotography. It has a wide aperture so it is perfect for night photos and videos as well.
55-210 mm (For Sony A6000)
The 55-210 mm lens is a great lens for the A6000 series of Sony cameras. It is very compact and has optical image stabilization for a great price.
Star Tracker:
Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Pro Pack (Astrophotography)
I use this for star tracking to get long exposures of the night sky. It is very portable so I can take it with me to dark sky spots and set it up quickly. I have shot Andromeda Galaxy and the moon at 1800 mm with this model.
Accessories:
Memory Cards
The Sony tough memory cards are great because they are durable and are completely waterproof. They also have very fast transfer speeds at 300 MB/s so I can record in 4K video without worrying about slow file transfers.
Sandisk 2 TB SSD
This is by far my favorite storage device for photos and videos. It is small, lightweight, and has fast file transfer speeds. It comes with me wherever I go and has plenty of space for all of my photos.
Software:
Capture One Pro 20 (Primary photo editing)
Photoshop (Image stacking and manipulation)
I use this to stack astrophotography images like the Andromeda Galaxy and moon. This creates an HDR image and allows you to see more details than a normal photo.
Premiere Pro
My video editing program to create videos and export in high resolution for mobile.
